Bath Bomb Recipe

Bath Bomb Recipe:

Ingredients:

260 g baking soda (1/2 cup)
60 g Epsom salt (1/4 cup)
30 g cornstarch (1/4 cup)
60 g citric acid (1/4 cup)
3-4 tsp coconut oil
Dried Marigold Flowers
1-2 tsp water
1 tsp essential oil
Few drops of food coloring (optional)

You need: a whisk, a bowl, and a silicone mold

Instructions:

Combine all dry ingredients (baking soda, Epsom salt, cornstarch, and citric acid) in a bowl. Whisk them together until they’re fully combined.

Add 3-4 teaspoons of coconut oil, 1 teaspoon of essential oil, and a few drops of food coloring to the bowl. Mix everything thoroughly until the ingredients are well-combined.

Slowly add 0.5 teaspoons of water to the mixture while stirring it continuously. Add only enough water to make the mixture wet enough to stick together. Adding too much water can activate the citric acid and cause the bath bomb to lose its fizz.

Once the mixture is moist enough, press it firmly into the silicone mold. If using round molds, squish the pieces together and remove any excess mixture from the sides.

Allow the mixture to sit in the molds for about 15 minutes before carefully removing the bath bombs. Place them on parchment paper or a towel and let them dry for 24 hours.

Once dry, store the bath bombs in an airtight container away from water. These homemade bath bombs are good for up to 4 months.

Tips: Before getting into the tub, allow the bath bomb to fizz for 20-30 minutes. This will help the ingredients mix with the water, allowing you to enjoy all the benefits your bath bomb has to offer.

Using bath bombs isn’t just a trend. By incorporating ingredients like Epsom salt, baking soda, and coconut oil, they can provide numerous benefits for your body. So, why not try making your own and enjoy a luxurious and relaxing bath experience?
